August 6 - Installation of Officers, Fellowship and Awards Night

This activity is held annually and doubles as a fellowship for the entire KofC family in Bangkal. A Holy Mass at 6 PM was celebrated by the Council Chaplain, Fr. Zaldy Abonales, and the installation rites followed conducted by District Deputy SK Andres S. Suero. Several awards were handed out during the program including two awards from the Mindanao Jurisdiction. The Mindanao Deputy, SK Ernesto San Juan through the District Deputy awarded the following winners of the Mindanao-wide contest:
  • SK Angelino Mariano as Outstanding Financial Secretary
  • GK Noel Villamor as Outstanding Grand Knight
For the local awards, the Financial Secretary, Angelino I. Mariano, recognized the committed support of the following Brother Knights for paying their dues on time despite the odds.

  • Bro. Constancio Galinato
  • Bro. Rufino Dag-um
  • Bro. Reynaldo Autentico
  • SK Abraham Garcia
  • SK Wilmo Capoy
  • SK Restituto Parasdas
The Grand Knight also gave special awards to new members who qualifies as Knights in Shining Armor and whose performance surpassed the officers' expectation.
  • SK Jaime Sulamin as "Handyman of the Council"
  • SK Cayetano Murata as "Most Improved Knight"
  • SK Lucio Sacco as "Heavyweight in Service"
  • Sir Bernard Maticaldao as "Dependable Knight"
Special Awards were given to four officers who served as role models for the rest of the membership. They are:
  • SK Richie Dalupe for his committed service as Chief Counselor of Squire Circle 3956
  • SK Jose Augusto Mangune for his ever-flowing generosity in supporting the activities of the Council
  • SK Edilberto Tanudtanud for his selfless service in leading and promoting the nightly Family Rosary
  • PGK Rolando Matuguinas for his unwavering loyalty and dependable service to the Council
A major highlight of the affair was the awarding of the Family of the Year and Knight of the Year awards. It was a tight contest this year and selection had been difficult. Following are the proud winners.
  • SK Panfilo and Sis Inone Mangkikis as Family of the Year
  • PGK Jovencio Lara as Knight of the Year
