July 23 - Fun Run & Fund Raising Drive for the Mission Society of the Philippines. Council 8824 joined the Fil-Mission Auxilliary Association in sponsoring this event by serving our delicious arrozcaldo to the hungry runners.

August 18 - Prayer service at the wake of Lucy Mariano. Sister Lucy, wife of Brod Lino, had been a consistent and enthusiastic supporter of Council 8824.

August 20 - Installation of officers and service program personnel for CY 2006-2007 and family fellowship.

Octoboer 1 - 2nd Degree at St. Paul Council. Congratulations to Brothers Oscar Maynagcot and Jesus Villaceran.

October 8 - District 18 Mini Olympics for Councils 6738, 8069, 8824, 9573 and 11048. Council 8824 won 1st place in Voleyball and Tennis, 2nd place in Basketball and 3rd place in Badminton. The one day event was organized by District Deputy Reynaldo Trinidad at Woodridge.

October 13 - OLLP thanksgiving dinner with Davao city councilors.

October 22 - 22nd Council 8824 Charter Anniversary. Held at San Isidro Prayer Resort.

October 23 - Chalmer Berry, an MSP seminarian at St Paul Seminary, confirmed receipt of the tution money we sent him. Thanks to the benefactors.

October 29 - Basic First Aid training conducted by Eagles Foundation for Council 8824 Knights and Circle 3956 Squires.

October 31 - Honor guards of Council 8824/Assembly 2444 led the dawn rosary procession of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

November 4 - First degree exemplification.

November 12 - OLLP 3rd Canonical Establishment Anniversary. In charge with physical arrangement and provision of softdrinks for the community lunch.

November 26 - Christ the King dawn procession at OLLP.

December 10 - 3rd Degree sponsored by District 18 at Grand Menseng hotel.

December 15 - Prayer service at the wake of Delia Calabia, wife of PGK Guiller Calabia.

December 19 - Sponsored Novena de Gallo at OLLP.

December 22-23 - Caroling to augment funds for gift-giving.

December 30 - Gift-giving at OLLP.

February 8 - Prayer service at the wake of the father of Bro. Adonis Garito.

February 10 - Honor guards led the fiesta procession of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. The council donated medicines for the free medical clinic of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and arrozcaldo during the parish fiesta celebration.

February 17 - In the morning, 4 Brother Knights were exemplified to the 4th Degree. In the afternoon, honor guards led the fiesta procession of the adjoining San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish at the request of Fr. Severino A. Capulong Jr.

March 4 - First degree exemplification, welcome to Brother Rommel T. Sulamin.

March 5 - Prayer service at the wake of the wife of Bro. Edgardo Garcia. A P30,000 check from the KC Fraternal was presented by the Council's fraternal counselor.

April 5-8 - Easter week activities: Boy Gordo delivered the 4th Word of the "Seven Last Words" on Good Friday; Honor guards rendered escort and vigil duties on Holy Thursday and led the processions on Good Friday and Easter Sunday; the Council and Squire Circle 3956 also sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt (120 eggs) after the Easter Mass at the partially built structure of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

April 15 - First degree exemplification, welcome to Brothers Emmanuel Calumpong, Alfredo Calunod, and Emeterio Josue Jr.

April 19 - Donated softdrinks for the ordination anniversary of our Chaplain and Parish Priest, Fr. Voltaire Dimol.

May 31 - Bros. Jaime Sulamin, Adonis Garito, and Noel Villamor completed the LAN cabling of the entire St. Francis Xavier College Seminary in time for the opening of classes. The team also completed the setup of 19 computers in the seminary's computer lab.

June 10 - Co-sponsored a blood-letting project with the local Caritas at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. Six Knights donated blood. The Council provided "kinutil" concocted from fresh "tuba" (coconut wine), cacao powder, eggs, and condensed milk. The "kinutil" was offered to the blood donors after drawing their blood. There were 30 blood donors during the event. The Council also contributed for the lunch of the Red Cross personnel.

June 17 - Election of Officers for CY 2007-2008 (click here). The Council handed a P15,000 check to Fr. Voltaire Dimol as donation to the "A Tile A Church" fund-raising for the completion of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church. Special thanks to Brod. Edgar Carigaba for sending in a major part of the donation.
