On May 13, 2004, the Icon of the Virgin of the Poor visited the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (OLLP) in Bangkal, Davao City. It arrived about 6 AM from Maa Parish and was met by OLLP parishoners with much excitement - convening at the meeting site as early as 4 AM. The procession started about 4 blocks from the Parish with the Knights of Columbus Color Corps from Bangkal Council 8824 4th Degree Knights leading the March. Children in Angel clothes threw roses and flowers at the Virgin while the crowd sang Marian songs during the procession.

A Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Danilo Dotollo followed and from then on, Parishioners took turns in reciting the Holy Rosary and invocations to the Virgin of the Poor the whole day and whole night until dawn broke the next day at which a Holy Mass was celebrated for the Icon's departure from OLLP. A motorcade of 12 vehicles drove the Icon to the San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish in Talomo at 5:15 AM on May 14.
